There are four steps to earning money in network marketing/direct sales. These steps are the reasons why people succeed but also the reasons why people do not. The steps are simple but we often make it hard by getting in the way. The steps are inviting, presenting, collecting a decision, and consistency.

Inviting

The invite is exactly what it means. You are inviting prospects to take a look at your business project and getting their feedback on what they saw. Some will respond back and some won’t. The problem is that most marketers are not inviting enough and regularly. This business requires that you talk to people. This a people business like any other business so you need people. Unfortunately, most networkers think posting their links everywhere on social media and spamming is inviting people to looks their business and it’s not. Inviting and imposing are two different things.

Presenting

Presenting is basically using a video, sizzle call or live meeting to expose your prospect to your opportunity, products and services. The objective is to get more people in front of your presentation with the hopes that they could make an educated decision about your offer. Most networkers are not actively presenting their offers. They’re hoping that people inbox them asking for the presentation link.  The more you present, the more you increase your chances for  greater success.

Collecting a decision( follow up)

After you’ve presented your opportunity etc, now it’s time to collect a decision. All you’re looking for after the information was seen is a yes I’m in or no, I’m not. This is the time to adress objections, not beg, chase or convince. Many people don’t collect the decision because they feel like they’re bothering the prospect. They think that if the prospect is serious, they will reach out to them instead. Sometimes that works, most times it doesn’t. You have to actively collect the decision, it’s your opportunity.

Consistency

A lack of Consistency is probably the biggest reason why people don’t get anywhere in this industry. They’ll start something and go really hard in their business for two weeks, fizzle out and then say this doesn’t work. You have to remain consistent even when you don’t yet see the results you want. A lack of consistency is the reason why people have been losing the same 30 pounds for the last five years. It’s normally due to a lack of focus.

There are three things that will help brand you a leader if you are open and willing to get out of your comfort zone. ANYONE can do them and they require no special skill or credential. So here are the three things that will brand you a leader:

  1. A Blog: Having a blog will assist you to become a leader. This is because a blog is your real estate online. It’s like a hub if you will. Blogs allows your audience to read what’s in your heart and mind. You can develop a relationship with your readers through your content. Relationships are usually the first steps towards business partnerships and customer acquisitions.  If you look at who’s who in business, you will learn that almost every successful person has a blog. Some people have two blogs. It is important to have your brand online. You will attract more people to you which will promote you as leader.
  2. Video: The second thing that will help brand you a leader, is doing videos. Many people shy away from making videos because they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone. I felt the same way. However, I knew that I would have to get from behind the computer and show people that I am a real person eventually. Currently I have between 30-50 videos on faceBook and youtube combined. Video is powerful and is something that any aspiring leader should consider.
  3. Give something away: This is also big. Consider giving away  something like a free how to blog report or PDF. You can also give away a free coaching call or instructional video. People love getting something for nothing. Nevertheless, leaders are GIVING because it is more blessed to give than receive. In fact, giving is how you receive. that’s a spiritual law.

In conclusion, these are three things that will help you to become a leader. The more resourceful and  CONSISTENT you are, the more likely you are to generate a great fortune. Your greatest calling is first to serve God and secondly, your fellow man. Move forward and become the leader that people are looking for.

  2. Value posts-These posts are the kind that educate, motivate and inspire people through blogging, videos, quotes to take action in their own business or partner with entrepreneurs in business, to create a win-win situation.
  3. Lifestyle posts-Post pictures of you, friends and family out and about doing fun activities, eating at restaurants, going shopping, or on vacation. You want to show people that you are a real human being and a citizen of the world.

The thing with attraction marketing is that it takes TIME and CONSISTENCY. In addition to the things mentioned above, you can include stories and testimonies from other peoples so well.  In attraction marketing,  about 80% of your time should be spent  giving value and 20% of your time should be posting about your business. Your belief in yourself is detrimental to your success as an online entrepreneur, especially when there’s so much competition in the marketplace.

The second thing you need in order to build a successful online business is a good company. You need a company that has a proven track record of producing successful entrepreneurs. In addition, the company must be of good reputation with solid leadership. The success or failure of a company begins and ends with leadership. So make sure you have a good company.

Capture page

The third thing you need is a capture page. Since you are doing business online, you need a capture page to collect people names and email addresses in exchange for the information they requested. Hopefully, you want to collect their phone numbers so you can follow up with them via landline. There are many types of capture pages that you can customize if you prefer. You don’t need to be technical to create a page. Templates are already made so all you have to do is point and click.

Autoresponder

The fourth thing you will need in order to build a successful online business is an autoresponder. An autoresponder is a business tool that you use to follow up with prospective business partners and/or customers regarding your products and services. There are many autoresponders on the market however not all are created equal. If you are doing marketing online, you definitely need an autoresponder. If not, you are missing a vital part of building relationships with people who you could do business with.

Paid traffic

Last, but not least, you need paid traffic to build a successful business online. Many people, especially on Facebook, are trying to build their business using free strategies alone. That doesn’t work well if at all. This is because the market place is saturated with a variety of offers. Sadly, many marketers are promoting their websites in places that offer free promotion and guess what? Everyone else is doing the same thing. So what do you think the results are going to be? zero. If you are going to do a for free traffic strategy make sure you implement a paid traffic strategy. This is to support your free efforts until you no longer need paid efforts. Hope that makes sense. If you have no money to invest, you are going to have a difficult time and probably need to get a second job or something to pay for traffic.

Success is found in consistency.

There are reasons why people quit. Some of those reasons are fear, unbelief, adversity and others. What usually happens is people will watch a video or read a blog of a guy stating that he got 25 sign ups in three days or something.

When people see this, they try it for a few days. As soon as they do not get identical results, they give up and quit. What folks don’t understand is that there was a process of consistent work that was implemented day in and day out, to get those kind of results.

No one starts out a six figure earner. You must consistently promote and market YOURSELF. Notice I didn’t say opportunity. You must market yourself.

A lack of consistency contributes to a person quitting and calling this industry a scam. Consistency is not talked about enough. You don’t start something for a month, then stop, thinking any day you’re gonna hit the lottery.
