When we first get started in network marketing, we are given a company replicated website to promote. Typically what we do is go online and start promoting the website on social media. The problem  with replicated websites is that we are all given the same one that says the same thing. Whether we realize it or not, these websites have been seen before. Most marketers are promoting them the wrong way which is one of the reasons people are not signing up.

If you want to sign people up online, please understand that it is going to require some work and ingenuity in many cases. After all, someone did tell them that they are going to make a million dollars in six months. As soon as that didn’t happen, they became reluctant about whether “those things” really work.

Company websites don’t work for the following reasons:

  1. Everyone has them– As mentioned above, if everyone has them, they have been seen before. You need to create pages that no one has used or very few people have used. More importantly, you need to have YOUR OWN message on the website, not a generic message.
  2. Can’t capture emails- company replicated websites can not capture emails so you can follow up with prospects through auto responding messages. The relationship is built and extended through short powerful messages that are created to  educate the prospect to make a decision  to get started. This is important because most people do not make quick business decisions.
  3. Don’t provide value- When I say no value, I’m not speaking of the health and/or financial benefits. I mean providing some content that shares tips on what’s needed to build a successful business.

 

In conclusion, hopefully you have a better understanding of why company replicated websites are not enough. If you are online promoting the same company websites with the same message, then more than likely when prospects sees it, they ignore it. You have to bring something different to the table of marketing. Instead of branding themselves, marketers are branding their companies. That doesn’t make sense because their companies are already branded.

Learn how to create capture pages and apply your own unique message on them. Learn how to create copy that provides solutions to your prospects problems. In addition, generate  leads, manage and follow up with them using this app. It’s like your own personal assistant that you download to your cellphone to keep you abreast of what’s going on in your business. The best thing about it, is that it doesn’t matter what business or product you’re promoting.

If you do this, you will win online. Just posting your link is not enough because everyone has a link. What is going to distinguish you from the rest?  You’ve got to invest in yourself and business. Learn and implement internet marketing strategies so you will have the results you’re looking for. Most people don’t have the time to build offline so online is the best course of action. Don’t be like the 90% who fail online. Do what the winners do to win.

Why people hate network marketing

There are reasons why people hate network marketing. Most people believe that they have to hang out in shopping malls, passing out flyers. They think they have to beg, chase and convince friends and family to join their business. I can’t forget the dreaded home parties. Now this may work well for some people but unfortunately, it doesn’t work well for most.

The reason why it doesn’t work well for most people is because people have lives. Not to mention, we all have friends and family who are in an MLM business and not making any money. Furthermore, when we learn of the traditional activities that must be done, it doesn’t sound too appealing. This is why people hate network marketing.

In addition, people hate having to sell to strangers. Let alone making a spectacle of themselves with friends and family members. Look, people are tired and burnt out from working their jobs. In some cases, they are working two and three jobs. They have family responsibilities and about 5-6 hours of sleep, not quality sleep either.

They don’t have about five years to hopefully learn and grow to be successful in their network marketing career. It’s not because they don’t want to make the investment, it’s because they need to make things happen faster. While it is true, you are rewarded or punished for the life you lived prior to network marketing, if you knew you would be in the business now, you would have lived a different life!

This is why it is important more than ever to automate your business. If you are not leveraging automation and systems, you are likely on your way out of business.

If you are not making sales on autopilot, you don’t have a business, you have another job! The reason why you choose network marketing is to leave your job. You want to live your life on your terms. Network Marketing IS The Dream

Network marketing is a business model that has been around for decades. It’s a business for people who like helping other people. The business model offers top notch products to consumers around the world, who have a desire to improve the quality of their lives. Examples of these products are health and wellness, financial services, travel services etc. Network marketing is a solution for individuals looking for an alternative to the traditional 9 to 5.

There are uneducated people who call network marketing a pyramid scheme. To be perfectly clear, a pyramid scheme is when money is changing hands but there is no legitimate product being moved or service fulfilled. These schemes are partly what gives network marketing a bad rap. Unethical programs like these pollute our industry giving people a negative outlook on our profession.

The other part that gives network marketing a poor image is bad business people. Let’s be honest, there are bad people in every industry so network marketing is no exception. One must associate him or herself with the good people and be held personally accountable for their own success.

Some people feel that the type of product you have makes the difference in network marketing. I believe that it’s not so much about the product nor has it ever been. It’s about the dream, plain and simple. It’s also about people since people are the ones with money. Personally speaking, it’s about the dream. I dream of the people I can help effectively and the things I can do politically.

Network marketing has made it possible for the average person who doesn’t have much money to dream again. Most people have given up on their dreams. The American dream of owning a home and retiring in style is becoming an American nightmare. I see many people working past their retirement age and are afraid that they STILL will not be able to retire. Yet, the folks who are retired now have to go out and find another job just to supplement their retirement incomes. What kind of retirement is that? I believe that corporate America and the public sector are the enemies of the poor and the middle class because most well paying jobs that existed decades ago, are now in India and china. Far easterners are being paid less than half of what Americans use to earn.

In conclusion, when people wake up and join network marketing, they are choosing freedom over security which by the way, doesn’t exist anymore. The home business industry is the last chance for the common man who wants to take his financial life back from the dictatorship of corporate America and the public sector. Choose freedom or choose slavery by default. Network marketing is the dream that can take you from where you are now to where you want to be in the future.

Where To find Prospects And What To Say To Them

A common issue that people have in network marketing is where to find prospects and what to say to these prospects. The challenge is getting those individuals to be open enough to look at some information that could improve the quality of their lives. People by nature, are skeptical so they feel that anything that goes against their conditioned based way of thinking is a scam. We have to present our products and services in a way that will peak their interest and at the same time, reduce their resistance.

I want to share a cold market tip and a warm market tip on where to find prospects for your products and opportunity. I also want to provide information on what to say to candidates when you meet them.

Cold market

A good place to find prospects is at a department store like targets for example. Strike up a conversation with the sales rep then say what’s the starting salary here? (the sales rep is going to say whatever the salary is which is usually not enough). Then you say, is that enough to live on without needing a second job? (they will most likely say no). Then you say, if I could help you make enough money to live on without needing a second job would you be open to looking at some free information? (they are most likely going to say yes, even if they are lying to you because they have a problem).

Warm Market

Warm market people includes friends, family and associates. Now there are some of you who may be saying, I don’t want to talk to friends, family or associates. Let me ask you a question. Are you confident and believe in your products and opportunity? If so, why wouldn’t you want to share them with people who matter most to you? Lets say you have a friend name John. You say John, I need your opinion on something. (He is going to say what is it). You say I have a presentation for a business that I just started. Can you look at it and tell me what you like about it? (John says yes). You hand John a DVD, CD or link to your presentation. Then you say how soon will you be able to look at the information? (John may say tonight at 7pm). Then you say ok John, I will call you back at 8pm and we will talk about what you liked.

There are many ways to get prospects to view your material. It only requires a little brainstorming. Networking events are filled with potential business partners that you can share business with. Bookstores are filled with people more than ever. These individuals are hungry for information. You want to go to the self improvement section because the home business industry thrives off personal development and is built with this kind of training. Trade shows, expos and flea markets are also a great sources of leads. People flock to these events looking for things to buy and people to meet.

In conclusion, prospects are all around us. We just have to learn what to say, how to say it, and also importantly when to say it. Obviously, we are going to hear a lot of nos. It doesn’t necessarily mean we are doing the business wrong. It only means that we haven’t heard enough nos. Instead of saying I have no prospects to converse with, look to your left and to your right and you will see an abundance of people who will benefit greatly from your products and services.

YOU become Your Own Up Line

In network marketing, you hear many stories from distributors of how their up line sponsor got them into the business and a few months later, disappeared. This is perhaps one of the reasons why people discredit our profession and become skeptical about money making or online business opportunities. Personally speaking, I had a sponsor sign me up from a previous MLM company and he disappeared on me also so I can relate. People get into this business for different reasons. By the same token, people leave the business for different reasons.

I feel that your success in anything in life, is your responsibility not someone else. So for that reason, you have to become your own up line or your own leader. The home based business industry is a legitimate field of work. It works if you work. Perhaps that’s the problem. You won’t work because you don’t have the skill set. Furthermore, you will not commit to developing the skills that are necessary to pay the bills. In which case you can blame no one except yourself. How do you like that? When you refuse to develop the skills, you refuse to develop your paycheck. When you refuse to develop your paycheck, someone else like an employer will do that for you.

Here are some tips to becoming your own up line:

1. Read books on how network marketing is done. Go to www.amazon.com.

2. Join online business forums that focus on network marketing and ask questions.

3. Join networking groups that support the industry and network with others of the same mindset.

4. Watch you tube videos on prospecting and marketing.

5. Get rid of the lottery mentality. No one gets rich overnight. You have to pay your dues.

6. Go to http://www.risemovie.com and watch the free trailer on network marketing.

7. Last but not least, join me in business and I will assist you in getting the job done so long as you are willing to learn and take action.

 

In conclusion, network marketing is the greatest profession in the world. You have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. You get to use the power of leverage and create an income that is residual. So what if your up line leaves you. In every line of work, you will find irresponsible people. Here I list 7 reasons why you should join network marketing. You are probably familiar with some of the reasons however, the way these ideas are presented may be new to you.

1. No Job security.

Job security is becoming obsolete in America. Thousands of people are losing their jobs every year. Our manufacturing base which was the engine of the economic world is rapidly shrinking and the number of people applying for public assistance is increasing. So how can there be job security when there are less secure jobs? Network marketing is a business model of freedom. There are no serious representatives who seek job security. We want financial independence.

2. The politicians can’t and won’t help you in the job world.

If politicians were really in office to help us, none of our American jobs would be in other countries. No offense to other nations but Americans need jobs too. What did the politicians do to help Joe average from losing his home or retirement money in 2008? Laws are being passed and decisions are made that undermine the interest and prosperity of the middle class and most of these politicians are in on it. I’m not saying all politicians are bad but the ones who are more popular have not accomplished much as far as I’m concerned. Home business owners do not seek assistance from politicians. Our motto is if it’s going to be, it’s up to me.

3. Pensions, 401ks, etc will disappear.

There is talk about nationalizing your retirement plans. How does that make you feel? Money that you worked hard for, for many years is going to lumped together with someone else’s account. Furthermore, social security is a cash grab and will also disappear. In my opinion, nationalization leads to confiscation. So in essence, your pension and other paper investments are no longer yours once nationalization takes place. You do not control your paper investments, wall street does. With network marketing, you keep what you earn, and what you earn, you control.

4. No income ceiling.

In network Marketing, you determine how much money you want to make not someone else. You can earn as much as top CEOs earn within a year. You get paid for results, not time. There is no need to ask anyone for a raise or an increase. I work with a guy who earns a high five figure salary per month and completed training with people who earn six figure per month salaries. I am thoroughly convinced that when it comes to making money sky is the limit.

5. You get to work with who you want.

Working with difficult people is not impossible. In this profession, you do get to choose your business partners however, working with difficult people is not always avoidable. A common statement that prospects have is “you need people to join your business and I don’t want a business like that”. The reality is that you need people for everything not just a business. Besides, people are the only ones who have money. So yes, unlike a job, you do get to work with people of your liking, just know that the person you like may turn into one that you don’t like as much.

6. No boss.

What more can I say? In network Marketing, you do not have bosses. You have coaches. Their role is not to make your life a living hell. Their responsibility is to help you make money. How many bosses do you know want to help you make money?

7. Time.

Having a home business allows you to control your time whereas a job controls your time for you. You report to work and perform the duties and hours assigned. As a home business professional, you make your own schedule and are not bound to a time clock.

In closing, there are many reasons why you should join a network marketing organization. Do not let fear or any pre-conceived ideas stop you from moving forward. Educate yourself on the industry by reading books and information from the direct selling association. Do not listen to people who failed. Listen to people who succeeded. The only limits are the ones you put on your mind.
