Why people say NO to your business

There are several reasons why people say no when you present your business to them. One reason is they’re just not interested. Another reason is the timing might not be right for them. Yet another reason could be they were in business in the past and got robbed.

A common complaint that entrepreneurs have is “I’m talking to people but I can’t seem to get anyone interested in joining”. The first thing you have to understand that  you can’t get people to do anything. It is also important to understand that people are conditioned to be employees. So because of that, you’ll have to speak to approximately 100 to 200 people to find two to three people who will partner with you. It’s simply a numbers game.

People are also saying  NO to your business because of how you present it. If you present your business as a get  rich quick scheme, folks are going to say no because they think it’s a scam. This happens when you oversell your opportunity. An example of this tactic is “learn how to make 10,000 dollars a week! No work required!” To most conscious people, that’s nonsense. If you present your business as easy, people are going to think it is, and when they find out it’s not, they’re gonna call it a scam.

Don’t focus on the product

People are bombarded with products all day. About four out of ten television commercials are selling you a product of some kind. When you focus on your product, your prospect is going to feel like you’re selling him or her. People don’t like to be sold so they’re going to reject your offer. Your product is not your product, your product is people. You have to build people who move the products.

Talking too much

There is a saying that goes, say less to more people. The reason why is because the more you talk, the more they feel they know everything about your company.  So what are your prospects going to say once they know everything in most cases?NO! When you tell people everything upfront, they bottom line your company even though they really don’t know anything about it. So say less to more people.

Sell the meeting

Instead of selling on how great your product is, sell the meeting. How do you do this?  Simple. Use the sort and point method. All the the top earners use this method. When you approach someone to ask if they’re open to making money, all you’re looking for is a yes or a no that’s it. If they say yes, point them to your upline executive. An example is “I’m in the travel industry and my company is looking for some people. I don’t have all the details but if you’re open to learning more, I’ll give your contact info to mr or Mrs. Executive director xyz who will give you a call to explain the details”.

When you sell the meeting, you’re taking the attention off of you and putting it on the leader of your company. When you talk to people, most of the time they’re judging the opportunity by you. Even though they don’t really know anything about your company. Your prospects need to hear about your business from people who’s had great success from someone else.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why people say NO to your business. We already know that most people are going to say anyway. That’s okay. No’s are a part of this business. Don’t sell, sort. Don’t persuade, point. When we do enough of this then we’ll start getting some yeses. Hope this helps.

“Are Your Dreams Worth Fighting For?”

We all have dreams of becoming someone successful in life. We want to be a person of influence that contributes to the lives of others in some major way. Perhaps you want to be a good politician that serves the people, not special interest groups. Maybe you want to be an entrepreneur that creates products or services that will positively serve  the global community. Whatever you desire to do, starts with a dream. Dreams and vision is what inspire common men to accomplish uncommon things.

A dream is nothing more than an idea that has not yet come to fruition. The more attention and focus you give to it, the more it expands in your mind to become a reality. The ability to imagine and create is one of the things that separates human beings from animals. It’s one of the reasons we are the crown of God’s creation.

Unfortunately, many people today, have given up on their dreams. They gave up the great to settle for the ok. The quote says, “if you don’t have dreams, you’ll end up working for those who do”. There is nothing wrong with working for others, but there is something wrong with coming to the end of life with regrets. I truly believe that no man wants to reach the end of his life, never giving himself a chance. Sadly, this the case for many individuals. They never give themselves a chance and they allow their excuses to be bigger than their why.

Any dream worth having, is a dream worth fighting for. It’s easy to say that doesn’t work, it’s easy to say i’m not cut out for this. It’s easy to say I come from the wrong environment so I won’t succeed. Napoleon Hill, the author of “think and grow rich” says “what the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. It has nothing to do with your background or anything else external.

In conclusion, birds of a feather, flock together. Never let anything or anyone affect your dreams. The minute you do, you have given up on your hopes, aspirations and desires to be successful. Surround yourself with people who get it. These are people who think uncommonly as yourself. Allow your dreams to take you to the top because the bottom is always crowded.

Is building a business offline still effective?

In today’s post, I want to talk about whether or not building your business offline is still effective. Currently, there is a train of thought in the industry that says old school network marketing is dead. Many online “gurus” say that cold calling is dead or the three feet rule is old news. Nothing could be further from the truth. Those strategies still work and always will as long as people exist. No someone may say “wait a minute, I live in a town of only a thousand people, how could that work for me”? The answer is to use online strategies, work your town and go out of town if that is realistically doable.

In my opinion, attraction marketing doesn’t mean that you completely disregard human interaction. Network marketing is still a face to face business. If you think about it, all of the top seven figure earners in MLM built their business offline first and used attraction marketing to leverage their success and credibility. I’m a fan of online network marketing by all means. I just believe that traditional marketing produces results because we are in the people business. People are online and offline.

I also believe that what you are marketing makes a difference. Some products and services are better promoted offline. For example if you have a physical product that you can give out as a sample  you will have better success. People love the free things so all you have to do is give your product out. Online, people are a little reluctant to give you their personal information. This is because they do not know you and you lack credibility.

In conclusion, building your business online is still effective because people still like to interact with each other. Can you imagine a world where there is no human contact and everything you need must be done online? No matter whether you are doing offline or online marketing, you still have to sell. Unfortunately, many online marketers think you don’t have to sell. That’s simply not true. You are selling business systems, sales funnels. Don’t allow technology to rob you of building real and lasting relationships.

Why Most people don’t make any money online.

If you’re like most of us, you came across an advertisement that says learn how you can make x amount of dollars per month. You probably thought it was a scam but you went ahead and took a look at it. You read some testimonials of people who were getting great results but were not sure if you could get them. Maybe those folks are the lucky ones you thought. They probably have a “hook up” you pondered.

While it is normal to have some skepticism, it is abnormal to  be completely close minded especially without doing any objective research. I want to talk about why people don’t make any money online and hopefully shed some light on the matter. I will also talk about the solution to making money online.

Okay, so here’s why most people don’t make any money online:

  1. They think everything is a scam– yes there are a lot of scams online. However, it is YOUR responsibility to do your own due diligence to find out which ones are scams are which ones are not. There are many wonderful opportunities that will allow you to realize your dreams and goals. But you have to examine the company, track record and owners of the company. In doing this often, you will be able to discern better.
  2. Push button mindset– This mindset probably affects about 90% of the marketers online. Sure it would be nice to push a button and get all the sales we want and become millionaires. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. It seems as if people brought their job mentality to free enterprise and expect to make it big overnight. If they didn’t make it big overnight at their jobs, what makes them think they’re gonna make it big overnight in their own business? Go figure. Furthermore, when they don’t make it big guess what they say? I knew it was a scam.
  3. Don’t want to invest any money in their business- It amazes me that people want to charge top dollar for their products and services but what all the training etc without any investment for free. Only broke people think like that. Real successful people know that they have to invest in themselves and their business. They know that there’s no such thing as everything for nothing in return. While there are good resources that you can get for free, the best resources will cost you. One of the most important assets you have is time. Free will cost you time, paid will save you time. So invest in your business, this is not the lottery.
  4. Don’t want to work with a mentor-I think there was a song by Frank Sinatra titled ” I did it my way”. That’s exactly what most marketers agree to. They want to do it their way instead of working with someone who did it and got results with it. Entrepreneurs work with people who are better entrepreneurs than they are. They are called mentors. We all need mentors who can help us to become better. This is because we don’t know everything and require guidance especially in business. Most of us were taught to become employees by employees not entrepreneurs. In order to go from an employee to an entrepreneur, you need to taught by entrepreneurs.

In conclusion, These are the reasons why most people don’t make any money online. Making money online requires a plan and action consistently. Just like you went to school to consistently to get the degree for the profession you’re hopefully in, the same applies for the entrepreneur. You have to learn before you can earn. Why your company website is not enough.

When we first get started in network marketing, we are given a company replicated website to promote. Typically what we do is go online and start promoting the website on social media. The problem  with replicated websites is that we are all given the same one that says the same thing. Whether we realize it or not, these websites have been seen before. Most marketers are promoting them the wrong way which is one of the reasons people are not signing up.

If you want to sign people up online, please understand that it is going to require some work and ingenuity in many cases. After all, someone did tell them that they are going to make a million dollars in six months. As soon as that didn’t happen, they became reluctant about whether “those things” really work.

Company websites don’t work for the following reasons:

  1. Everyone has them– As mentioned above, if everyone has them, they have been seen before. You need to create pages that no one has used or very few people have used. More importantly, you need to have YOUR OWN message on the website, not a generic message.
  2. Can’t capture emails- company replicated websites can not capture emails so you can follow up with prospects through auto responding messages. The relationship is built and extended through short powerful messages that are created to  educate the prospect to make a decision  to get started. This is important because most people do not make quick business decisions.
  3. Don’t provide value- When I say no value, I’m not speaking of the health and/or financial benefits. I mean providing some content that shares tips on what’s needed to build a successful business.

 

In conclusion, hopefully you have a better understanding of why company replicated websites are not enough. If you are online promoting the same company websites with the same message, then more than likely when prospects sees it, they ignore it. You have to bring something different to the table of marketing. Instead of branding themselves, marketers are branding their companies. That doesn’t make sense because their companies are already branded.

Learn how to create capture pages and apply your own unique message on them. Learn how to create copy that provides solutions to your prospects problems. In addition, generate  leads, manage and follow up with them using this app. It’s like your own personal assistant that you download to your cellphone to keep you abreast of what’s going on in your business. The best thing about it, is that it doesn’t matter what business or product you’re promoting.

If you do this, you will win online. Just posting your link is not enough because everyone has a link. What is going to distinguish you from the rest?  You’ve got to invest in yourself and business. Learn and implement internet marketing strategies so you will have the results you’re looking for. Most people don’t have the time to build offline so online is the best course of action. Don’t be like the 90% who fail online. Do what the winners do to win.

It’s not really about your product or service. It’s about the dream.

When people initially start a business, they base the product or service as the determining factor. While it is normal to base your decision on the product or service, it’s really not about your product or service. The majority of network marketing  companies are very good with exceptional products and services. As long as there is a market, you will have a profitable product and service.

When I first got started, I thought it was all about the product. I focused solely on getting people on the product hoping that they would become business partners after seeing how great my product made them feel. Don’t get me wrong, that technique still works. However, I quickly realized that no matter how “great” my product was, not everyone had an interest in it. Not to get off subject, but some people are very skeptical. The last thing you want to do is prove to a skeptic that your business works. They will prove to you that it doesn’t work by doing nothing.

As a marketer, I believe it’s important to not focus so much on the product or service but   focus on the dream.  It’s the dream that people want. They want to travel more and be home with their families. In addition, they want to spend their time without having a boss over their back(no offense to bosses). Network marketing gives you back your life so to speak. Most people don’t like their jobs nor do they like getting up early to go to them. It explains why so many people are grouchy in the morning.

In conclusion, it’s not so much about your product or your service. It’s about the dream. What would life be like if you were living your dream? What would it look like? Think about that for a moment. Make it as vivid as possible. When you assist other people to live their dream, you will live yours.
