Don’t Get Distracted By Other Opportunities

When we get started in network marketing or affiliate marketing, we are on fire for the industry. We tell everyone we know about this great opportunity we just joined and how there is a ground floor opportunity for them if they sign up right now. Then after awhile, things begin to change. We no longer stay excited about our business program. Thoughts of quitting began to sink in. It’s time to join something else. Since we’re not making sales, it must be the company(not us). We start looking at the greener grass instead of getting off our a**. The problem is that we are not focused.

We read stories of how other people are crushing it and become envious. We all go through this in our networking careers. We join program after program and are still not making any money. Not even on our auto ship. Instead we become opportunity whores and don’t even know it. Don’t get distracted by other opportunities. Stay focused and build the one you are currently in. Do not allow other networkers discourage you from your MLM into theirs. I don’t care how great the compensation plan is.

If you can’t or won’t build your current business for whatever reason, you will have similar problems in any business you join. I’m just saying. A consistent work ethic is still required. It is also important to note that your product is not your product. Your product is people.

In conclusion, don’t get side tracked with different opportunities. Stay focused and build the one that you are currently in. Network marketing is a wonderful industry. So wonderful that it requires work. If another representative tries to smooth you over into his or her business, think about what why you got started in your company.

A Life Of Hope

“Most of the important things were accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all”. -Dale Carnegie.

The bible says hope defferred makes the heart sick(paraphrased). I want to talk about a life of hope. When you talk about hope, you are talking about a better way. You’re talking about the possibility of brighter days ahead. Hope is important. Without it, you have nothing.

Take away a man’s possessions and he can get it back. If you take away his hope you took everything. It is imperative that you have hope. Hope is what keeps you going even though you want to stop.  There are going to be good days and bad days alike. That’s just what it is. Just as there are periods of sun and rain, there will be times of pleasure and pain.

Even in these times, you must maintain a life of hope. It is easy to have hope when things are fine and harder when things are not. We seek a life of expectancy. We expect things to get better. Not just for ourselves, but for other as well.

In conclusion, we must maintain a life of hope. Life without hope is no hope at all. Many people gave up on life. They developed a settlement mentality. They settle for what’s given to them instead of going after what they deserve. When you have hope, you develop a prosperous way of thinking. You talk about what can instead of what if. Finally, hope cannot be found in a man. He needs hope also. Our hope begins and ends in God.

Brand Yourself

Branding yourself is important if you are seeking to establish yourself as a leader. This is especially true online. Nowadays, it is not enough just to promote a product. You must promote yourself. There is a difference between marketing and branding. Marketing is about getting exposure and expanding it for a particular product or service. Branding involves establishing your credibility and authority in the marketplace. In essence, you are stating that you are the leader that people are looking for. It is important to understand that the people who make the most money in business, branded themselves first.

If you look in many of the Facebook groups, people are spamming their opportunity. Spamming clearly doesn’t work. If you and I are in the same company, promoting the same product, what separates you from me? Nothing! However, if I brand myself, that will make all the difference. This is what you want to do. If a company goes bankrupt, you can start another organization and continue to do well because you branded yourself. Mr. Donald Trump went bankrupt several times yet, he’s a billionaire. That’s because he first branded himself through knowledge. He knows how to make money and does it. Banks will still loan him money because he doesn’t need it. Did you catch that? Brand yourself. Everyone who is successful branded themselves. That’s why having a blog is important. You may be saying to yourself, “everyone has a blog!”. True, but not all bloggers are unique.

In closing, brand yourself. You inc is what counts. Have you ever heard of ITL? It stands for Invest, Learn, Teach. This is what successful brands do. Create some form of content that can be shared. As you consistently share value, which is what many people don’t do, you will attract more people to your brand.

What Leaders Do That Non-Leaders Don’t

leader images

There are several things that leaders do that non leaders don’t. First off, there are good leaders and there are bad leaders. Dr. Martin Luther King was a good leader. Adolph Hitler was a bad leader. When you go into business, you automatically assume the role of a leader. It is your responsibility to learn, grow and show. There are activities that you the leader should be doing consistently. I will cover some of those activities and hopefully share something new with you.

Leaders are readers.

As a leader, you should be reading a book or article of some kind relating to your field of interest. Books on personal development, leadership and marketing is appropriate. Technology is constantly changing. What worked yesterday may not work today. That is why reading these kinds of books are important. Non leaders refuse to read because they either think they know it all or are just lazy.

Leaders lead by example.

This means you are on trainings, creating content and communicating with people. As an individual of influence, you should never ask someone to do something that you are not willing to do yourself. Leaders step up to the plate. Non leaders make excuses for why they are not getting the activities done.

Leaders think about moving forward.

Leaders are always in production mode. Even on vacation, they are observant of the next prospective candidate. Leaders think and plan the next course of action to take. They have a vision for where they want to go in life. There is really no such thing as a day off. Their motto is, time is not money, time is results.

In conclusion, leaders do what non leaders don’t. These individuals set the bar and then raise it. Leaders take action in order to obtain a desired result. Once obtained, they raise the bar higher to get a better result than the first. Do what leaders do to have where leaders have.

Much Success,

What You Say To Yourself Matters

positive self talk images

What you say to yourself matters. Your inner communication contributes to your success or defeat. Whenever we give up and say this business doesn’t work, we are communicating from a negative frame of reference. Instead of saying this business doesn’t work, say how can I make it work. Oftentimes, we are the ones who sabotage our success. Personally speaking, I’ve cheated myself out of wonderful opportunities because I used the wrong language.

What you say to yourself can have serious, physical repercussions. If you say your marriage sucks, you’ll probably say and do things to justify that excuse. Conversely, if you say your marriage is great, your talk and actions will support that statement.

Whenever you say to yourself you can’t, your mind goes to work to confirm why you can’t. You have to watch what you say to yourself. That’s why personal development is so needful. People are naturally skeptic about business and life. So we must reprogram ourselves to release the skepticism in order to realize what’s possible for our lives.

The bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. Those who love it will eat the fruit thereof. Too many of us have been eating the wrong fruit. Because of this, we are facing the death. We must stop speaking death to our marriages, businesses and ourselves. We deserve better so let us talk better. The words you speak can influence a self-fulfilling prophecy.

In conclusion, what you say to yourself matters. What you say has the power to support your dreams or tear them down. It is important to learn the language of success. Our language, particularly our inner speech, dictates our actions. Our actions dictate what we believe.

Building A Business Takes Time

building a business takes time images

Building a business takes time. It requires patience and persistence. One of the challenges that we all have as business owners is the desire to build fast. While building fast is good, we must keep in mind that there is a process involved. If you ask any top earner, what made them successful, they will talk about the journey they had to take. Who wouldn’t want a six figure business built over night? Who wouldn’t a shortened learning curve? Thankfully, I am part of an online marketing community that shortens the learning curve.

By building a business the fast way, we cheat ourselves out of valuable experience success is obtained through the experience. One of the reasons why people quit is because they expect to build their business fast. They read articles and watch videos that make grandiose statements about making tons of money in a short time. You can make that kind of money BUT it depends on your influence and/or marketing budget.

We live in a microwave society. We want things fast and we want them now. Building a business takes time. There are no shortcuts to success. You have to think, learn and do. All components are critical to business success. Entrepreneurship requires that you learn a different set of skills. Do not allow yourself to become overwhelmed with too much information at once. Since building a business takes time, take your time.

In conclusion, building a business takes time. You will reap what you sow but not instantly. Keep educating yourself and most of all don’t quit.

Keep fighting. Don’t throw In The Towel

dont throw in the towel images 1

I happen to be a big fan of contact sports. My favorite being boxing. As a young man, I didn’t fight. I was big for my age sp people didn’t bother me. I have friends and associates who were fighters. Boxing and MMA was their expertise. I have seen good fight and bad fights, big fights and little fights. I write to inform you that the biggest fight you’ll ever have is the fight in your mind.

A physical fight is temporal. You are able to recover from minor injuries. The fight that does the most damage is the mental one. If you lose a physical fight, you suffer damage to your body. If you lose a mental fight, you suffer damage to your life. That’s what I want to focus on. The mental fight that we all do battle with.

When a fighter is losing bad, his corner looks to throw in the towel. They want to protect him from further harm. His corner understands that the more punishment he takes, the more serious the pain. When you go through a mental fight, you will also have to go through some pain. No one likes to go through pain, nevertheless, pain is a part of the process. For some people, the pain is too much so they throw in the towel. I write to inform you to keep on fighting. Don’t throw in the towel.

There are times in our lives, where we feel like throwing in the towel. Perhaps you’re a business person. You are spending money on advertising and no one is clicking on your ads. You couldn’t generate a lead if your life depended on it. Maybe people who said they loved you, turned their backs and walked away. It’s in times like this where people throw in the towel. Keep fighting. don’t throw in the towel. This fight is a good fight. It’s not over until you win! Keep going the distance! Keep your back off the ropes! Faint the jab, through a straight right hand! Follow up with a left hook to life! Work your combinations! Tuck your chin down, keep your hands up! When life starts giving you trouble, block and move! Roll with the punches! Don’t give up! Stay in the pocket! Counter punch, side step!

In conclusion, keep on fighting, don’t throw in the towel. Do not focus on how things are. Focus on how you want things to be. Every physical thing can be taken away from you. One thing that can’t be taken, is your hope. As long as you believe that there is a God in heaven and you are willing to fight, there is always hope. keep fighting. Don’t throw in the towel.
