Why most people have a hard time building their business.

image

There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to build a business but getting no where. It seems like your dreams are rapidly fading before your very eyes. We know that building a business is hard however, we didn’t think it was this hard.

People have a hard time building their business for several reasons. I will go over some of the reasons that I have experienced. Building a business can seem like a daunting task. Friends and family offering ridicule etc.

so here are some of the reasons why people are having a hard time building their business:

No daily routine or lack of a daily activity.

If you want to succeed in business, you need a plan of action. At the end of the day, how many people did you talk to, mail samples/business info to? how many calls did you make? How many samples did you give out? If you are not moving forward in your business, you are moving backward by default.

Afraid to talk to strangers.

When we where young, we were told not to talk to strangers. It is no wonder why as adults, we don’t like to talk to strangers! There are times when we just don’t want to talk to anyone, but the big money is made dealing with people you don’t know. Of course only talking to friends and family will cause you to have a hard time in business. There are hundreds, even thousands of people who possibly want what you have to offer. But you gotta talk to them.

Unable to offer samples of the company product.

One thing people love is the word free. People love trying new products for free. Unfortunately, many companies do not offer a free service or product that consumers can try before they buy. This is not to say that you can’t do well if you don’t offer samples. I just believe that if you have a product that’s in big demand and you can offer as a sample¬†such as this product, you will really do well faster depending on your work ethic etc.

No self belief or confidence.

Network marketing is a simple business. It’s not easy, but it’s simple. If you are going to have even a little bit of success, you must believe you can have it. The problem is most home business owners do not believe which is why their actions are a result of what they believe. You can read all of the books on confidence and belief but the only way to gain confidence and belief is to do that which you fear period.

Think they have to know it all.

Yet another reason why most people have a hard time building their business is because they think they need to know it all. Every company has a presentation be it an online video or DVD that you can use to educate a prospective candidate. You never need to know everything. Utilize tools to answer your prospects questions.

No money to invest in own business and oneself.

In business, you need to invest and re-invest in your business. There is really no such thing as something for nothing especially when you are thinking long term. It amazes me how so many people are looking for deals that require no initial investment on their part. You cannot have success with a real business unless you are willing to pay a price. The same goes for oneself. You should be reading books that motivate, educate and inspire you. Most companies offer a recommended reading list. The list is compiled with books that have influenced millions of men and women. You should be reading something regularly regarding business and personal development.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why most people have a hard time building their business. If you treat your business like a hobby, it will pay you like a hobby. We have a hard time because we make it hard. A few simple disciplines will go a long way.

Why marketing yourself is so important

image

One of your first priorities as a home business owner is to develop yourself as a leader. As you develop yourself as a leader, you will begin to market yourself as leader. It is important to understand that people don’t join businesses, they join people. If you look at any top earner online, you will notice that they do not promote their opportunity on the front line. They promote their own content that they created or another leader’s content.

The market place is crowded.

A reason why marketing yourself is so important is because the marketplace is over crowded. Networkers are competing for the attention of the prospect to get him or her into their organization. If you can show why a prospect should join you and not the next guy, you’ll have a greater chance at recruiting that prospect. Of course the prospect has the final say so as to whom he or she will join. You need a way to stand out from the crowd of network marketers who are not giving this any thought. This is very important to consider especially if you are building your business online.

Your company has been seen before but not you.

Every network marketing company has been seen before. It doesn’t matter what you’re promoting. Even if you are promoting an attraction marketing business, it’s been seen before. This is because everyone has the same funnels. However, you haven’t been seen and that’s what make you unique. You personality and professional charm will draw people to you. In addition to your compassion and servant leadership ability. That’s what people want.

Today’s network marketing has leveraged the internet.

More people are getting hip to realizing that in order to succeed online, it’s going to take more than just a link. Many business owners know that a blog and video are powerful tools that can build authority and relationships with prospects. They understand that they can achieve this better than not having anything at all. This is especially true unless they built their business offline.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why marketing yourself is so important. You want to market yourself in such a way that will leave an impression on a person you are dealing with, to point that he or she MUST do business with you.

Do you need a marketing budget to succeed in your online business?

image

A question people have, is do you need a marketing budget to succeed in an online business. Well, the answer to that question is no. I’ll explain why. The reason why you do not need a marketing budget is because of social media. All over the Internet, people are making hundreds of thousands of dollars using free strategies on the Internet. All you need to do is pick a platform that you want to build on and master it. The key is to consistently provide value to your target market.

Video

Video is hot right now and more and more people are realizing the power of making videos. Making videos will help you to grow as an entrepreneur as you provide valuable content to your viewers. Best of all, you can record and share your videos for free. No budget required.

Blogging

Even though everyone and their mom has a blog, blogging is still a good choice. Blogging just like video, can be done without any marketing budget. You can provide ideas and solutions that helps your reader. Blogging is a great way to draw people to you so they can learn more of what you do. Your blog should be packed with content. You can collect leads and recruit people off of your blog!

Relationships

The best of them all, is relationships. The reason I say the best is because connecting with people is what counts. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how many people did you connect with. Building relations cost you nothing especially on Facebook. Whether your business is online or not, you are in the people business. Relationships count.

What Stop Most People From Taking Action?

image

What stops most people from taking action? There are many reasons why most people don’t take action. I will go over some common reasons, or excuses. A reason why people do not take action is because of fear. Fear is the thief of your dreams. Many people fear what may not even happen. In some cases, fear is condition that results from a lack of confidence or self esteem. It’s a paralyzer. Fear stops people from succeeding and reaching their highest potential. We have fear but we can’t let it stop us.

Another reason that stops people from taking action is their own self limiting beliefs. You have to believe that you can accomplish any goal. Your actions dictate what you believe consciously or subconsciously. No matter what excuses we give, the only ones we are fooling is ourselves. Believe you can make a difference and take action.

image

A third reason why most people don’t take action is because of the hard work that’s required. After working forty to sixty hours a week, who wants to work hard building a business? People are conditioned to work at a job, not hard for themselves. Working hard for yourself is challenging because it requires mental energy to remain persistent and consistent. When you lack mental energy, it’s difficult to work hard. Nevertheless, people make excuses to avoid working hard.

image

In conclusion, these are some reasons why most people do not take action. If anything good is worth having, it’s worth working for. Some folks are too concerned of what friends and family will think of them. Because of this, they do not take action. The difference between your dream and reality is your action.

When Your Passion Consumes You

image

We all have a passion for something. It could be speaking, writing or building. The definition of passion is a strong or uncontrollable emotion. There is probably something exciting in your life that you enjoy, which makes you feel this way. You think about it day and night. You dream about bringing that thing to fruition. When you have conversations with people, you can’t help but to bring it up. This is what happens when you have a passion that consumes you.

In St.John 2:17, the bible reads, and his disciples remembered that it is written the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. What is the zeal that is eating you up? What is that zeal that makes people think you’re crazy. Furthermore, what is the zeal that makes you think you’re crazy? This is what happens when your passion consumes you.

image

I don’t want to be a passionless individual. For me, there has got to be something that gets me out of bed in the morning. There has got to be something that makes me say yes, I’m alive!! I’m afraid that many people have no zeal. They have no passion, they have no fire. These folks drift aimlessly through life. Some of them are mad at the world because they didn’t make anything out of themselves.

When you have a passion that consumes you, you’ll walk with a new walk. You’ll talk a new talk and you’ll have a new found perspective on life. Welcome to the new you. When people have a passion so intense, they don’t worry what others are doing. They are focused on their goals and the task at hand. They have no time to play games, there is much work to do.

image

In conclusion, when your passion consumes you, your whole demeanor will change. What you took for granted, You now acknowledge as a gift. Let your passion consume you.

You Were Created A Masterpiece

image

Sometimes, I wonder if people really understand how great they are. Even in the mist of our fallacies, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Oftentimes, we take our existence for granted. Never questioning or looking for our life’s purpose. Part of your existence is to be a blessing to others. You do this by adding value, that will enrich someone’s life in a special way. You were created a masterpiece. You are not a mistake. It doesn’t matter what the troubles of the past were. It doesn’t matter what issues you have now. Nor does it matter what people say about you.

You are a masterpiece. It’s time to acknowledge your greatness. God does not create junk. God creates beauty. Even the devil himself was created a beautiful being. We must see ourselves as God sees us. We must act as dignified people. See yourself as the masterpiece that you already are. So what, you made some mistakes. So what, you had some setbacks. When God gave us Jesus, he wiped the slate clean.

image

You don’t have to believe you’re a second class citizen because you don’t have great wealth. You are still a masterpiece, a person of great value. Your value lies in greater things than wealth.

In conclusion, do not allow dis-empowering thoughts to control your life. The same holds true regarding dis-empowering people. You are worth it. You have a purpose and a destiny that money can’t buy. You are a masterpiece.

Does Posting In Facebook Groups Really Work?

image

Does posting in Facebook groups really work? That must be the ten thousand dollar question. I believe there are two answers to that question and I will explain why. Yes, posting in Facebook groups work. However, it depends on what and where you’re posting. If you look on Facebook, you’ll notice people posting negativity along with their business opportunity. You can’t mix the sweet and the sour together because it sends the wrong message to your prospects.

What works on Facebook? Inspirational/motivational quotes. They are awesome for personal and business matters. You can get them online however, I do believe you should create your own as well. This is what separates the leaders from the followers although we all start off as followers. If you want to brand yourself on Facebook, you must post information that provides value. Many people look for posts to share on their timeline that promotes empowerment. As you share value, people will begin to comment and direct message you saying thanks for the inspiration!

image

What doesn’t work on Facebook? Spam. From time to time, someone will post an income program on my timeline. I consider it spam because I did not request it. Nor did I give permission for it to be posted on my page. I also learned that mesaging people who you are not friends with about your business opportunity is also spam. Please stop this. No matter how many times the following statement is preached, people still don’t get it: build relationships first BEFORE sending your link. If someone wants your link, they will ask for it. Just because someone accepts your friend request, does not mean you should send them your unsolicited link. There is nothing wrong with building rapport and asking first. Spamming in Facebook groups doesn’t work because everyone is doing the same thing. Most groups are nothing but spam fests. If a prospect visits these groups, he or she would be confused.

image

In conclusion, does posting in Facebook groups really work? Yes if you are providing value and no, if you’re not. It depends on what and where you’re posting. Unfortunately, some of these groups are useless. Around 80% of your content should be value based and 20% should be promotion. When you do this, you will be looked upon as a leader not a spammer.
