“Are Your Dreams Worth Fighting For?”

“If you don’t have dreams you’ll end working for people who do”

We all have dreams of becoming someone successful in life. We want to be a person of influence that contributes to the lives of others in some major way. Perhaps you want to be a good politician that serves the people, not special interest groups. Maybe you want to be an entrepreneur that creates products or services that will positively serve  the global community. Whatever you desire to do, starts with a dream. Dreams and vision is what inspire common men to accomplish uncommon things.

A dream is nothing more than an idea that has not yet come to fruition. The more attention and focus you give to it, the more it expands in your mind to become a reality. The ability to imagine and create is one of the things that separates human beings from animals. It’s one of the reasons we are the crown of God’s creation.

Unfortunately, many people today, have given up on their dreams. They gave up the great to settle for the ok. The quote says, “if you don’t have dreams, you’ll end up working for those who do”. There is nothing wrong with working for others, but there is something wrong with coming to the end of life with regrets. I truly believe that no man wants to reach the end of his life, never giving himself a chance. Sadly, this the case for many individuals. They never give themselves a chance and they allow their excuses to be bigger than their why.

Any dream worth having, is a dream worth fighting for. It’s easy to say that doesn’t work, it’s easy to say i’m not cut out for this. It’s easy to say I come from the wrong environment so I won’t succeed. Napoleon Hill, the author of “think and grow rich” says “what the mind of a man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. It has nothing to do with your background or anything else external.

In conclusion, birds of a feather, flock together. Never let anything or anyone affect your dreams. The minute you do, you have given up on your hopes, aspirations and desires to be successful. Surround yourself with people who get it. These are people who think uncommonly as yourself. Allow your dreams to take you to the top because the bottom is always crowded.

The Power Of Personal Development

personal development image 1

Personal development is something that we must do daily to become the person we aspire to be. Real personal development helps to build the total man. Man is a spirit that has a body and a soul. Self growth plays a part in changing lives and building legacies. Books such as “think and grow rich” “success through a positive mental attitude” and “the magic of thinking big” has helped millions of people become successful. Ideas that were once a thought, have come to fruition. Dreams are manifested into reality.

Personal development gives you the can-do attitude. Things that you thought were impossible are now possible. Through personal development, people have eliminated their fear of public speaking. Beliefs have exceeded doubts. Hope has been restored. There is power in personal development.

Self improvement gives you a new perspective on life. Some time ago, I was talking with a guidance counselor at a public school. I asked her, why doesn’t the school system have books on personal development? She said she didn’t know. I knew the answer, I just wanted to hear her opinion. Obviously, the answer is the school system was created by the “elites”. Their plan was to indoctrinate students with mindless material that promotes stagnation and enslavement instead of information that promotes growth and freedom.

That is why school is eight hours a day, five days a week. Pupils are trained to become employees not entrepreneurs. When they leave school, they’re already conditioned to look for a job. I believe that if the curriculums focused on personal development, our youth would have a positive outlook on life. They would value their minds, respect themselves and others as well. In addition, the unemployment rate wouldn’t be an issue.

In conclusion, there is a power in personal development. The establishments don’t want you to have that power but it’s too late. Through self help, you eradicate the need for the psychologist and the prescription pills. Your mind will be opened to a world of unlimited possibilities. You would be motivated to create your own world versus someone else creating your world for you. That’s the power of personal development. It empowers your belief and your vision.

Globally speaking, we are about to face some bad times. I still believe that bad times reveal good opportunities. This is because there is a God in heaven. Embrace the power of personal development.

You Are Worthy Of Your Dreams

you are worthy of your dreams images

The word worthy means having worth, merit or value. When we think of the word worthy, the last thing we usually think of is ourselves. We normally think of tangible things like real estate. We all have dreams and aspirations to do something big. Perhaps you want to start a business upon retirement. Maybe you want to write your first novel. Whatever the dream that you have, just know that you are worthy of your dreams.

Sometimes, people get ideas to do great things, but they allow their past to stop them. They disqualify themselves before they even get started. It doesn’t matter what background you came from. Nor does the color of your skin count. You may have been a drug addict or a gang member. You are worthy of your dreams.

You are unique. There is no one like you. If no else tells you, you are worthy of your dream. Don’t listen to people who say you can’t. Listen to people who say you can. Surround yourself with individuals who are going somewhere. You are a winner and you belong in the winners circle. You might have been abused as a child, even suffered from domestic abuse. Maybe you were told that you’ll never amount to anything. Whatever your circumstances are, you are worthy of your dreams.

In conclusion, this life that we have is special. It is precious and undeserving. Can you imagine what life would be like if we couldn’t dream? Life would be an emotionless existence of conformity. Let us be a people who envisions and goes after their dreams. You were created to be great. A person who adds value to society and glory to God. You are worthy of your dreams.

Your Self Image Is influenced By Your Environment

environment images

Your self image is influenced by your environment. If you think about that statement, you will realize how true it is. Whether you live in an urban area or a suburban territory, your self image is created by your environment. The way you dress and talk has a huge influence on the type of environment you came from. It’s true that your environment doesn’t have to become you. Particularly if you came from an undesirable area. However, we must understand that our self image can be connected to our environment.

The company you keep usually determines what kind of life path you will take. Therefore, affecting your self image. Birds of a feather will always flock together. When I was a younger man, I wanted to hangout with “the boys”. Many of you know that when you hang out with the boys, you do what the boys do. You bare the fruit of the seeds that are sown.

Take a look over your life. It doesn’t matter if you experienced a rough life or a smooth one. The point is, your environment had something to do with shaping your self image. We live in a society where ideals are promoted and socially accepted. If you are not in agreement with those ideals, then you are socially rejected. Some of those ideals can include dressing in the latest fashion. Other ideals can include living a certain lifestyle. We all want to have an image that is acceptable with our peers whether we want to admit it or not. So our peers make up a part of our environment.

In conclusion, your self image is influenced by your environment. I read in a book that a man is the sum total of what he thinks, reads and does. Who he surrounds himself with is also a factor. The bible says as a man thinketh, so is he. If you hang out with good guys you’ll probably be a good guy. If you hang out with bad guys, you’ll probably be a bad guy. We are, in some way, a reflection of our environment.

Much success,

A Life That Matters

Life is a gift that is sacred and precious. In life we experience good and bad, pain and pleasure, victory and defeat. From experience, we know that life comes with ups and downs particularly on this side of heaven. I believe that we are not only supposed to live life for ourselves but to glorify God and help our fellow man if we can.

We have to be aware of the decisions we make with our lives because each choice comes with accountability. In addition, we have to become people of moral and ethical value since these traits are lacking in society.

As I get older, I try to make every personal important decision count for the benefit of someone or something else and not just for myself. Life is not meant to take all the time, it is meant to give as well. I’m not speaking of only monetary giving. I’m referring to giving of yourself: mind, heart, time, energy.

A life that matters is a life that makes an impact or a difference not only in one’s life but in the lives of others. If we are honest with ourselves, we will accept the fact that we were all prideful, selfish and unconcerned about others. As times get tougher, have you noticed how dark hearted some people have become? Obviously there is no such thing as an infallible man. It just appears that we are living too shallow lives and could care less about what matters most.

In conclusion, we live in a world of hurting, needy and broken people. We cannot fix the world’s problems especially without God but we can do something to help someone else. A life that matters is a life that favors the righteous cause of God. As we reach out to others, I believe God will reach out to us. Bless to be blessed, love others even though they hate you and don’t know why. God is the creator of life and he wants you to live a life that matters.

Passion And Purpose

Passion is defined as any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling. Purpose means the object toward which one strives or for which something exists, an aim or a goal.

I believe that humans were created to live and not simply exist. We were put here on earth to fulfill a passion and a meaningful purpose. Many of us are not aware of our purpose so we go through life drifting by. A part of our purpose is to enrich the lives of others in some way. What is your passion and purpose? I doubt that our purpose is to be confined to a life of monotony, which is what a lot of people choose.

No passion equals no purpose. The reality is that we all have a passion and purpose whether we know it or accept it. Jesus had a passion which was to suffer the death and crucifixion of the cross so that we could have life through the shedding of his blood. Not only should we live a life of passion but compassion for our fellow man.

Your passion is usually something that you could see yourself doing whether you’re getting paid for it or not. It is more than a hobby it is your life’s work. A good way to find your passion is to ask yourself what do you want to be known for when you die. I feel that our lives are supposed to be a contribution to society, our loved ones and a glory to God.

There is something special about all people. We are unique and gifted in our own way. We are blessed to be a blessing. When you know your passion, you will know your purpose.

Your passion and purpose is sacred because it is something that only you can fulfill. Even if other people are doing a similar work, your work will be distinguishable.

Sometimes it takes years to find your zeal. It is not easily recognized and is often overlooked. Once we discover our gift, we will experience joy in our hearts for knowing that we are doing a good thing. Our hearts will touch others spiritually and emotionally not only where we live, but across the world. Our lives will change as we impact the lives of others. People will become inspired knowing that they too have a passion and purpose.

In conclusion, I feel that as a people, we have something to offer each other that is of great value. It does not necessarily have to be a product or service. It can be a kind word of encouragement that will motivate a person to keep going on in life. Sometimes the blessing is in the small things. Your passion and purpose will be a legacy that you can leave to your family for generations to come.
