When people initially start a business, they base the product or service as the determining factor. While it is normal to base your decision on the product or service, it’s really not about your product or service. The majority of network marketing  companies are very good with exceptional products and services. As long as there is a market, you will have a profitable product and service.

When I first got started, I thought it was all about the product. I focused solely on getting people on the product hoping that they would become business partners after seeing how great my product made them feel. Don’t get me wrong, that technique still works. However, I quickly realized that no matter how “great” my product was, not everyone had an interest in it. Not to get off subject, but some people are very skeptical. The last thing you want to do is prove to a skeptic that your business works. They will prove to you that it doesn’t work by doing nothing.

As a marketer, I believe it’s important to not focus so much on the product or service but   focus on the dream.  It’s the dream that people want. They want to travel more and be home with their families. In addition, they want to spend their time without having a boss over their back(no offense to bosses). Network marketing gives you back your life so to speak. Most people don’t like their jobs nor do they like getting up early to go to them. It explains why so many people are grouchy in the morning.

In conclusion, it’s not so much about your product or your service. It’s about the dream. What would life be like if you were living your dream? What would it look like? Think about that for a moment. Make it as vivid as possible. When you assist other people to live their dream, you will live yours.

Attraction Marketing 101 On Social Media

In about 2007-08, A new type of marketing emerged called attraction marketing. The reason for the creation of it is to give network marketers who are struggling to build their business the education to recruit people and other network marketers into their organization without chasing friends and family members. So as a network marketer and now attraction marketer, you can make money from people who join your primary company and those who don’t.

What is attraction marketing?

Attraction Marketing in a nutshell, is when you create a piece of content that solves problems through a blog post or video post. You share it with people who find value in your content. As a result, they become attracted to you through your material. You are now a branded authoritarian. The more content you have the more valuable you become to the marketplace.

As a network marketer or direct sales professional, you are not just in the business of sales(pushing). You are in the business of attraction(pulling). This is especially if you are doing business on social media. There are several ways that you can use attraction marketing to draw prospects to you just by sharing value. Understand that there is a formula to do attraction marketing that MUST NOT be ignored. Welcome to the RVL formula which stands for:

R-Results post.

V-value post.

L-Lifestyle post.

  1. Results post-People love seeing results that others are getting online. Well maybe not everyone because there are haters who don’t want to see you winning unfortunately. Nevertheless, results posts show that you are doing something right and that you are SERIOUS about your craft. It doesn’t matter how small your results are, post them! Everyone starts small.
  2. Value posts-These posts are the kind that educate, motivate and inspire people through blogging, videos, quotes to take action in their own business or partner with entrepreneurs in business, to create a win-win situation.
  3. Lifestyle posts-Post pictures of you, friends and family out and about doing fun activities, eating at restaurants, going shopping, or on vacation. You want to show people that you are a real human being and a citizen of the world.

In conclusion

The thing with attraction marketing is that it takes TIME and CONSISTENCY. In addition to the things mentioned above, you can include stories and testimonies from other peoples so well.  In attraction marketing,  about 80% of your time should be spent  giving value and 20% of your time should be posting about your business. Oftentimes, we want to do a little marketing and expect people to click on our links and sign up right away. It doesn’t work like that. This kind of marketing is a free strategy that should be combined with a paid strategy in order to increase results and add to your bottom line.

Why most people have a hard time building their business.

There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to build a business but getting no where. It seems like your dreams are rapidly fading before your very eyes. We know that building a business is hard however, we didn’t think it was this hard.

People have a hard time building their business for several reasons. I will go over some of the reasons that I have experienced. Building a business can seem like a daunting task. Friends and family offering ridicule etc.

so here are some of the reasons why people are having a hard time building their business:

No daily routine or lack of a daily activity.

If you want to succeed in business, you need a plan of action. At the end of the day, how many people did you talk to, mail samples/business info to? how many calls did you make? How many samples did you give out? If you are not moving forward in your business, you are moving backward by default.

Afraid to talk to strangers.

When we where young, we were told not to talk to strangers. It is no wonder why as adults, we don’t like to talk to strangers! There are times when we just don’t want to talk to anyone, but the big money is made dealing with people you don’t know. Of course only talking to friends and family will cause you to have a hard time in business. There are hundreds, even thousands of people who possibly want what you have to offer. But you gotta talk to them.

Unable to offer samples of the company product.

One thing people love is the word free. People love trying new products for free. Unfortunately, many companies do not offer a free service or product that consumers can try before they buy. This is not to say that you can’t do well if you don’t offer samples. I just believe that if you have a product that’s in big demand and you can offer as a sample such as this product, you will really do well faster depending on your work ethic etc.

No self belief or confidence.

Network marketing is a simple business. It’s not easy, but it’s simple. If you are going to have even a little bit of success, you must believe you can have it. The problem is most home business owners do not believe which is why their actions are a result of what they believe. You can read all of the books on confidence and belief but the only way to gain confidence and belief is to do that which you fear period.

Think they have to know it all.

Yet another reason why most people have a hard time building their business is because they think they need to know it all. Every company has a presentation be it an online video or DVD that you can use to educate a prospective candidate. You never need to know everything. Utilize tools to answer your prospects questions.

No money to invest in own business and oneself.

In business, you need to invest and re-invest in your business. There is really no such thing as something for nothing especially when you are thinking long term. It amazes me how so many people are looking for deals that require no initial investment on their part. You cannot have success with a real business unless you are willing to pay a price. The same goes for oneself. You should be reading books that motivate, educate and inspire you. Most companies offer a recommended reading list. The list is compiled with books that have influenced millions of men and women. You should be reading something regularly regarding business and personal development.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why most people have a hard time building their business. If you treat your business like a hobby, it will pay you like a hobby. We have a hard time because we make it hard. A few simple disciplines will go a long way.

Your Daily Routine

Success doesn’t occur from something that you do once. Success results from what you do on a regular basis. Most people come home from work and do what they have to do family wise but business wise, they do little to nothing. Maybe send an email or post a couple of internet ads. If you look at what successful people do and what unsuccessful people do, you’ll notice a huge difference.

At the end of the day, you must be able to account for the activity that you did. You are accountable for your daily routine. It’s funny how people say they don’t have time to do this or that, but they have time to watch TV. Then when you take an inventory of what they’re doing, the number is usually zero.

We all have busy lives. No one always has the perfect schedule. However, you are still accountable for maintaining your daily routine. With that being said, here are some tips for creating a daily routine:

  1. Get up an an hour earlier.
  2. Pray.
  3. Read a something on personal development.
  4. Create or share a piece of content.
  5. Exercise.
  6. Connect with more prospects.

These tips will assist you in increasing your chances for success. The main thing to do is be consistent.

How to get out of your comfort zone

One of the challenges people have is getting out of their comfort zone. If you want to succeed in your business or any endeavor that you are engaged in, it is important to overcome this challenge. Business wise, you have to put yourself out there consistently. No one likes leaving their comfort zone.The reason why is because it’s comfortable!

I’ve learned that the best things in life require a big change in mindset. As a business owner, you are a leader. So as a leader, you must embrace the task of getting out of your comfort zone to the point that it seems like you are looking for those kinds of opportunities.

I want to talk about getting out of your comfort zone and provide some ideas that will help you accomplish this if you haven’t done so already. Think about any successful person that has influence. Immediately, you’ll notice that this person has a level of person development that displays confidence. So as an entrepreneur, you must first develop your confidence before you can develop your income.

how to develop your confidence to get out of your comfort zone.

Here are some things that I have done to get out of my comfort zone:

  1. Make videos talking about something you learned. Offer tips, 1-3, about 1-2 mins.
  2. Join a toastmasters group. find one in your local area. Google toastmasters and begin your search. Give a speech.
  3. Read books on confidence/personal development. Go to amazon.com or barnes and nobles.
  4. talk to someone you don’t know. Just say hello.

In conclusion, These are some of the ways to get out of your comfort zone. Understand that your comfort zone is your danger zone. The more you stay in your comfort zone, the longer you delay your success.

Developing yourself as a leader is crucial to becoming successful in any field. If you are  a network marketer, it is your first priority. Although we all start off as followers, you will be a leader in the making. Most people do not want to be leaders, they just want to make money. Well, the money is the end result of good leadership. Let’s talk about the ways you can develop yourself as a leader.

What is leadership? Leadership is influence. It is never asking someone to do something that you are not willing to do yourself. Real leaders keep their word and support their people, not with lip service. So leadership is service to your fellow man.

A book I recommend is by Dr. John Maxwell, a well known business man and author of several leadership books and courses. It’s called the “21 irrefutable laws of leadership”. If you follow these rules, people will follow you. You can go to Barnes and Nobles or Amazon.com to purchase this book and other similar books.

Another way to develop yourself as a leader, is to join toastmaster club in your local area. Toastmasters has several opportunities to assist you in leadership development. You will definitely get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Many people in the business world have come through toastmasters. I encourage you to get out of your comfort zone which one of your first priorities as a leader.

In conclusion, developing yourself as a leader plays a big part in your success. You must put yourself out there, creating blog posts and videos. You must have a vision for where you want to go. It begins with your mindset.

Many people are undecided about whether to blog or not to blog. First of all, a blog is a body of work that is written to expression one’s opinion regarding a particular subject or matter. We’ve learned that people do business with people who they know like and trust. A blog makes that possible.

Another reason why you should blog is because you can market your content to prospects who are looking to join a business. Entrepreneurs who are already in business will benefit from the products you have to share. As a marketer, you should lead with value and kill with content. All over the internet, people are looking for information that will help them generate leads that may turn into sales. Your content may not necessarily be brand new but it should be uniquely presented.

Most people who are movers and shakers in network marketing have at least one blog. You don’t need a blog to become successful. Blogging can take your business to another level because people will see that you are serious about your craft. You’ll attract more people to you in the process.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why you should have a blog. You don’t need a blog to become successful however, having one makes becoming successful easier especially online. A blog lets you leverage the internet where there are billions of people doing business. Your blog is working for you 24-7. You don’t need to be an expert to be a great blogger.
