It’s not really about your product or service. It’s about the dream.

cute-dreaming-quote-its-the-possibility-of-having-a-dream-come-true-that-makes-life-interesting

When people initially start a business, they base the product or service as the determining factor. While it is normal to base your decision on the product or service, it’s really not about your product or service. The majority of network marketing  companies are very good with exceptional products and services. As long as there is a market, you will have a profitable product and service.

When I first got started, I thought it was all about the product. I focused solely on getting people on the product hoping that they would become business partners after seeing how great my product made them feel. Don’t get me wrong, that technique still works. However, I quickly realized that no matter how “great” my product was, not everyone had an interest in it. Not to get off subject, but some people are very skeptical. The last thing you want to do is prove to a skeptic that your business works. They will prove to you that it doesn’t work by doing nothing.

As a marketer, I believe it’s important to not focus so much on the product or service but   focus on the dream.  It’s the dream that people want. They want to travel more and be home with their families. In addition, they want to spend their time without having a boss over their back(no offense to bosses). Network marketing gives you back your life so to speak. Most people don’t like their jobs nor do they like getting up early to go to them. It explains why so many people are grouchy in the morning.

In conclusion, it’s not so much about your product or your service. It’s about the dream. What would life be like if you were living your dream? What would it look like? Think about that for a moment. Make it as vivid as possible. When you assist other people to live their dream, you will live yours.

Don’t Get Distracted By Other Opportunities

image

When we get started in network marketing or affiliate marketing, we are on fire for the industry. We tell everyone we know about this great opportunity we just joined and how there is a ground floor opportunity for them if they sign up right now. Then after awhile, things begin to change. We no longer stay excited about our business program. Thoughts of quitting began to sink in. It’s time to join something else. Since we’re not making sales, it must be the company(not us). We start looking at the greener grass instead of getting off our a**. The problem is that we are not focused.

We read stories of how other people are crushing it and become envious. We all go through this in our networking careers. We join program after program and are still not making any money. Not even on our auto ship. Instead we become opportunity whores and don’t even know it. Don’t get distracted by other opportunities. Stay focused and build the one you are currently in. Do not allow other networkers discourage you from your MLM into theirs. I don’t care how great the compensation plan is.

image

If you can’t or won’t build your current business for whatever reason, you will have similar problems in any business you join. I’m just saying. A consistent work ethic is still required. It is also important to note that your product is not your product. Your product is people.

In conclusion, don’t get side tracked with different opportunities. Stay focused and build the one that you are currently in. Network marketing is a wonderful industry. So wonderful that it requires work. If another representative tries to smooth you over into his or her business, think about what why you got started in your company.

Does Posting In Facebook Groups Really Work?

image

Does posting in Facebook groups really work? That must be the ten thousand dollar question. I believe there are two answers to that question and I will explain why. Yes, posting in Facebook groups work. However, it depends on what and where you’re posting. If you look on Facebook, you’ll notice people posting negativity along with their business opportunity. You can’t mix the sweet and the sour together because it sends the wrong message to your prospects.

What works on Facebook? Inspirational/motivational quotes. They are awesome for personal and business matters. You can get them online however, I do believe you should create your own as well. This is what separates the leaders from the followers although we all start off as followers. If you want to brand yourself on Facebook, you must post information that provides value. Many people look for posts to share on their timeline that promotes empowerment. As you share value, people will begin to comment and direct message you saying thanks for the inspiration!

image

What doesn’t work on Facebook? Spam. From time to time, someone will post an income program on my timeline. I consider it spam because I did not request it. Nor did I give permission for it to be posted on my page. I also learned that mesaging people who you are not friends with about your business opportunity is also spam. Please stop this. No matter how many times the following statement is preached, people still don’t get it: build relationships first BEFORE sending your link. If someone wants your link, they will ask for it. Just because someone accepts your friend request, does not mean you should send them your unsolicited link. There is nothing wrong with building rapport and asking first. Spamming in Facebook groups doesn’t work because everyone is doing the same thing. Most groups are nothing but spam fests. If a prospect visits these groups, he or she would be confused.

image

In conclusion, does posting in Facebook groups really work? Yes if you are providing value and no, if you’re not. It depends on what and where you’re posting. Unfortunately, some of these groups are useless. Around 80% of your content should be value based and 20% should be promotion. When you do this, you will be looked upon as a leader not a spammer.

The Importance Of Creating Value Based Content

image

Creating content is very important for the success of your home business. This is especially true if you are building your business online. It is said that content is king. Creative content is king forever. As a marketer, you should be offering value to your subscribers and visitors. One of the common problems you’ll see online is spam. Marketers are spamming their links to people without building relationships. A friend of mine who went to school to build webpages told me this some time ago. Did I listen, of course not. I learned the hard way. Valuable content is important because it offers solutions to people’s problems. In addition, this kind of content brands you as a credible source of information. People who are building a business will be able to implement your strategies and build relationships BEFORE sending their links to prospects.

The importance of value based content. It is what separates the professional from the United professional. It distinguishes the determined from the frustrated. Keep in mind that you do not have to completely create your very own content. You can use other marketers content and add your personality to it. It can be in the form of a video or blog post. It doesn’t matter as long as you offer value.

The days of you hounding people to look at your opportunity are over unless you have influence and a supportive warm market. Most marketers don’t have either so creating content should be considered. Now, some people will say oh, I don’t want to get involved in writing or making videos. You don’t have to. Just know that you’ll increase the chances of putting yourself into the category of network marketers who wind up quitting and calling MLM a scam.

In conclusion, understand the importance of creating value based content. When you do, you can’t help but attract people to you. Individuals will want to know what it is that you are involved with. If they like the value you’re offering, they will eventually recruit themselves. On a weekly basis, I get people asking me what I do. That’s how you want to position yourself. Just remember that your content is a magnet, not your opportunity.

Created To Be Creative

image

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He created light and darkness.  In addition,God created day and night. He created animals, land and man. Apparently, God is the creator of all things seen and unseen. Since this is truth, I also believe that man was created to be creative. As humans, we are born with the ability to create. If you look at the creations of men from the start of civilization throughout industrialization, man was actually created a genius. As hard as that is to grasp for some folks, man was created perfect in every way.

Our school system focuses on knowledge in an effort to control what you put into your mind. But it’s your creative side that opens the door to freedom and opportunity. I feel that man is fulfilled when he uses his ability to design his life instead of following the crowd. Albert Einstein said imagination is greater than knowledge. Mr Einstein says knowledge is limited, but imagination is seen throughout the world. Obviously, you need knowledge. You have to know how to do things that pertain to daily living and so forth. That’s common sense. What I’m talking about is living by personal design. You can’t learn that in school. Imagination promotes independence in a dependent society.

In conclusion, you were created to be creative. You were also created to glorify God. In order to live a life of creativity, you must first change your mindset. You must decide that you are going to create. We spend our lives consuming but never producing. When you create, you change your fate. Economically speaking of course. So be creative and be a blessing.

Free Facebook Marketing Tips To Get Leads, Likes And Engagement.

image

Home business owners want to know how to sponsor reps on Facebook. It is said that well over 300 million people are on Facebook. This includes prospects as well. One of the biggest challenges that distributors have is finding prospects. When you first get started in network marketing, you are told to make a list. The problem is that most people do not have a list unless they have some previous influence. Friends and family have already told you to get a real job. Next, your sponsor tells you to go to coffee shops, malls, etc for an hour or so and “prospect”. The problem with that is, people who are in malls and coffee shops are there to eat and shop. They don’t want to hear about your business program. Going to malls and coffee shops are if anything, a great way to get you out of your comfort zone. Network marketers do not want to do that because they may feel ridiculed.

So after getting into an argument with their sponsors, most people quit. What worked yesterday may not work today. It depends on certain factors that must be taken into account. Since most people are online, they are most likely to look for a business opportunity online. I’m not 100% against malls and coffee shops. I just believe there are better leveraged ways to make money online. This is where Facebook comes into play.

image

There are do’s and don’t’s to marketing and recruiting on Facebook just like anything else. Unfortunately, most networkers haven’t received the training and miraculously believe that what they are doing is adding credibility to their business. When we first start marketing, we normally do what everyone else is doing because if they’re doing it, then it must work. Sadly, many marketers are promoting their businesses the wrong way. I want to share what I’m doing personally and what other leaders are doing on Facebook to get leads, likes and engagement for your content on Facebook.

Professional looking profile picture.

image image

The first thing you need is a professional looking picture. I’m not saying go pay a photographer to takes pictures of you. I’m saying choose a picture of yourself that days you mean business. Many network marketers make their profiles their company product and they use they’re products as a cover photo. Some individuals use objects as their profile picture. This is a no-no. People want to see who they are doing business with. When you post a picture of something other than yourself, it makes people think you’re hiding something. So post a professional looking type of picture. This is just my opinion. Some leaders have on only a t-shirt, that’s fine. I just believe as a good rule of thumb, you should have a professional looking photo. It gives prospects the idea that you are business person.

Join multiple Facebook groups that pertain to your business or industry.

image

join as many Facebook groups as you can. I belong to about one hundred groups on Facebook. I don’t post to all of them, but I am a member. Joining multiple groups allows you to see what your friends are posting and vice versa. The problem with joining Facebook groups is spam. People are spamming their links and ads all over Facebook. When first started I did the same thing. Network marketers and affiliate marketers are posting links only to get seen by other marketers. No one is posting anything of value. If a prospect decides to join, they’ll probably do what the majority of other networkers are doing which doesn’t work, get frustrated and quit. When you post something of value in these groups, your content will go viral and people will ask you what it is you do(engagement)? When you get lots of likes, Facebook will put your content in front of a lot of people. In addition to that, your profile will get seen by more people. Just know that all groups are not the same. So youngest to find the best ones to join.

Post motivational quotes and lifestyle pictures.

image

image

Obviously, there is a lot of junk on Facebook. As a home business owner, what you post is a representation of you and your brand. You don’t want to post anything derogatory or offensive on your wall. Post lifestyle pictures with you and with your family hanging out. This lets people know that you are a real person. People love to see others having fun? Motivational quotes are excellent reminders to keep moving forward towards your goals. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning to see a motivational quote by Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn or others in your news feed. These kind of quotes are very inspiring and will assist you in your profession.

Accepting friendship requests.

image

As an entrepreneur, you want to accept requests from people who are in the home business industry or looking to join a home business company. When someone sends you arequest, send them a message saying, thanks for requesting me as a friend, looking forward to reading your posts and networking with you etc. If you send someone a friend request, thank them for accepting etc. Some people may just want to be friends and your posts inspire them in some way. That’s ok. As you continue to post entrepreneur related material, people will begin to ask you questions and to send them a link. Try to keep your conversations causal. Don’t throw up on someone who just accepted your friend request about your business. People are smart, they’ll know just by looking at your wall if you’re promoting something or not.

Providing value on your FB wall.

In today’s network marketing era, you need to provide some kind of value on your wall. I think a good it’s a good idea to post very little information about your business. Some networkers timeline are filled with nothing but their company products. The majority of all network marketing products are good and give similar results regarding weight-loss etc. Don’t brand your company, brand yourself with posts that offer some kind of “how to” information. People have seen your company before, they haven’t seen YOU! So lead with value, not your company.

Do videos.

This may not sit well with many of you, but doing videos actually add to your credibility. People love watching videos. They want to hear you and see you. When you offer some kind of tip through video, it tells people that you are a professional and that you are serious about your craft. Videos show that you are a real person as well. Do a video once or twice a week for starters.

In closing, Facebook is an excellent way to get leads, likes, and engagement. Never send an unsolicited link and do not spam people timeline. Whether your business is online or off, the rules never change. People only buy from people they know like and trust. Your responsibility is to establish those three things over time, not overnight. I get people sending me messages trying to convince me to join their business. I don’t know them, they haven’t built a relationship with me and they can’t tell me why I should join them and not someone else. In order to build know, like and trust, create some content of your own. As you continue to create, you will get more leads, likes and engagement which will turn into sales on Facebook. Use Facebook as well as any social media platform to brand yourself first.

Brand Yourself

image

Branding yourself is important if you are seeking to establish yourself as a leader. This is especially true online. Nowadays, it is not enough just to promote a product. You must promote yourself. There is a difference between marketing and branding. Marketing is about getting exposure and expanding it for a particular product or service. Branding involves establishing your credibility and authority in the marketplace. In essence, you are stating that you are the leader that people are looking for. It is important to understand that the people who make the most money in business, branded themselves first.

image

If you look in many of the Facebook groups, people are spamming their opportunity. Spamming clearly doesn’t work. If you and I are in the same company, promoting the same product, what separates you from me? Nothing! However, if I brand myself, that will make all the difference. This is what you want to do. If a company goes bankrupt, you can start another organization and continue to do well because you branded yourself. Mr. Donald Trump went bankrupt several times yet, he’s a billionaire. That’s because he first branded himself through knowledge. He knows how to make money and does it. Banks will still loan him money because he doesn’t need it. Did you catch that? Brand yourself. Everyone who is successful branded themselves. That’s why having a blog is important. You may be saying to yourself, “everyone has a blog!”. True, but not all bloggers are unique.

image

In closing, brand yourself. You inc is what counts. Have you ever heard of ITL? It stands for Invest, Learn, Teach. This is what successful brands do. Create some form of content that can be shared. As you consistently share value, which is what many people don’t do, you will attract more people to your brand.
