Why most people have a hard time building their business.

There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to build a business but getting no where. It seems like your dreams are rapidly fading before your very eyes. We know that building a business is hard however, we didn’t think it was this hard.

People have a hard time building their business for several reasons. I will go over some of the reasons that I have experienced. Building a business can seem like a daunting task. Friends and family offering ridicule etc.

so here are some of the reasons why people are having a hard time building their business:

No daily routine or lack of a daily activity.

If you want to succeed in business, you need a plan of action. At the end of the day, how many people did you talk to, mail samples/business info to? how many calls did you make? How many samples did you give out? If you are not moving forward in your business, you are moving backward by default.

Afraid to talk to strangers.

When we where young, we were told not to talk to strangers. It is no wonder why as adults, we don’t like to talk to strangers! There are times when we just don’t want to talk to anyone, but the big money is made dealing with people you don’t know. Of course only talking to friends and family will cause you to have a hard time in business. There are hundreds, even thousands of people who possibly want what you have to offer. But you gotta talk to them.

Unable to offer samples of the company product.

One thing people love is the word free. People love trying new products for free. Unfortunately, many companies do not offer a free service or product that consumers can try before they buy. This is not to say that you can’t do well if you don’t offer samples. I just believe that if you have a product that’s in big demand and you can offer as a sample such as this product, you will really do well faster depending on your work ethic etc.

No self belief or confidence.

Network marketing is a simple business. It’s not easy, but it’s simple. If you are going to have even a little bit of success, you must believe you can have it. The problem is most home business owners do not believe which is why their actions are a result of what they believe. You can read all of the books on confidence and belief but the only way to gain confidence and belief is to do that which you fear period.

Think they have to know it all.

Yet another reason why most people have a hard time building their business is because they think they need to know it all. Every company has a presentation be it an online video or DVD that you can use to educate a prospective candidate. You never need to know everything. Utilize tools to answer your prospects questions.

No money to invest in own business and oneself.

In business, you need to invest and re-invest in your business. There is really no such thing as something for nothing especially when you are thinking long term. It amazes me how so many people are looking for deals that require no initial investment on their part. You cannot have success with a real business unless you are willing to pay a price. The same goes for oneself. You should be reading books that motivate, educate and inspire you. Most companies offer a recommended reading list. The list is compiled with books that have influenced millions of men and women. You should be reading something regularly regarding business and personal development.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why most people have a hard time building their business. If you treat your business like a hobby, it will pay you like a hobby. We have a hard time because we make it hard. A few simple disciplines will go a long way.

Your Daily Routine

Success doesn’t occur from something that you do once. Success results from what you do on a regular basis. Most people come home from work and do what they have to do family wise but business wise, they do little to nothing. Maybe send an email or post a couple of internet ads. If you look at what successful people do and what unsuccessful people do, you’ll notice a huge difference.

At the end of the day, you must be able to account for the activity that you did. You are accountable for your daily routine. It’s funny how people say they don’t have time to do this or that, but they have time to watch TV. Then when you take an inventory of what they’re doing, the number is usually zero.

We all have busy lives. No one always has the perfect schedule. However, you are still accountable for maintaining your daily routine. With that being said, here are some tips for creating a daily routine:

  1. Get up an an hour earlier.
  2. Pray.
  3. Read a something on personal development.
  4. Create or share a piece of content.
  5. Exercise.
  6. Connect with more prospects.

These tips will assist you in increasing your chances for success. The main thing to do is be consistent.

How to get out of your comfort zone

One of the challenges people have is getting out of their comfort zone. If you want to succeed in your business or any endeavor that you are engaged in, it is important to overcome this challenge. Business wise, you have to put yourself out there consistently. No one likes leaving their comfort zone.The reason why is because it’s comfortable!

I’ve learned that the best things in life require a big change in mindset. As a business owner, you are a leader. So as a leader, you must embrace the task of getting out of your comfort zone to the point that it seems like you are looking for those kinds of opportunities.

I want to talk about getting out of your comfort zone and provide some ideas that will help you accomplish this if you haven’t done so already. Think about any successful person that has influence. Immediately, you’ll notice that this person has a level of person development that displays confidence. So as an entrepreneur, you must first develop your confidence before you can develop your income.

how to develop your confidence to get out of your comfort zone.

Here are some things that I have done to get out of my comfort zone:

  1. Make videos talking about something you learned. Offer tips, 1-3, about 1-2 mins.
  2. Join a toastmasters group. find one in your local area. Google toastmasters and begin your search. Give a speech.
  3. Read books on confidence/personal development. Go to amazon.com or barnes and nobles.
  4. talk to someone you don’t know. Just say hello.

In conclusion, These are some of the ways to get out of your comfort zone. Understand that your comfort zone is your danger zone. The more you stay in your comfort zone, the longer you delay your success.

Why you should have a blog and what it can do for your business

Many people are undecided about whether to blog or not to blog. First of all, a blog is a body of work that is written to expression one’s opinion regarding a particular subject or matter. It is regularly updated with content that is designed to educate, entertain or inform. Over the last 10 to 15 years, blogging has increased in popularity. Now, many businesses and individuals see the benefit in having a blog.

Why Blog?

Obviously, some people don’t want to blog. They just want to make sales. However, there are several reasons why you should blog and in doing so, can contribute to greater sales. As a home business owner, you should be building relationships. A blog makes it easier to do just that. A blog allows readers to learn about you. We’ve learned that people do business with people who they know like and trust. A blog makes that possible.

Another reason why you should blog is because you can market your content to prospects who are looking to join a business. Entrepreneurs who are already in business will benefit from the products you have to share. As a marketer, you should lead with value and kill with content. All over the internet, people are looking for information that will help them generate leads that may turn into sales. Your content may not necessarily be brand new but it should be uniquely presented.

Yet, a third reason why you should blog is because blogging brands you as a leader. If you want to establish yourself and business as a source of  credibility, it is important to have a blog. Most people who are movers and shakers in network marketing have at least one blog. You don’t need a blog to become successful. Blogging can take your business to another level because people will see that you are serious about your craft. You’ll attract more people to you in the process.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why you should have a blog. You don’t need a blog to become successful however, having one makes becoming successful easier especially online. A blog lets you leverage the internet where there are billions of people doing business. Your blog is working for you 24-7. You don’t need to be an expert to be a great blogger. You just need to get started.

Success is found in consistency.

There are reasons why people quit. Some of those reasons are fear, unbelief, adversity and others. What usually happens is people will watch a video or read a blog of a guy stating that he got 25 sign ups in three days or something.

When people see this, they try it for a few days. As soon as they do not get identical results, they give up and quit. What folks don’t understand is that there was a process of consistent work that was implemented day in and day out, to get those kind of results.

No one starts out a six figure earner. You must consistently promote and market YOURSELF. Notice I didn’t say opportunity. You must market yourself.

A lack of consistency contributes to a person quitting and calling this industry a scam. Consistency is not talked about enough. You don’t start something for a month, then stop, thinking any day you’re gonna hit the lottery.

We have to get rid of this lotto mentality when it comes to network marketing. Rome wasn’t built over night and neither will your business. You can get uncommon results but you have to understand that uncommon results come from uncommon actions.

You have to be able to account for your daily income producing activities period. The truth of the matter is that most people are not reading anything to get better. They are not watching material to learn how to build their business. They don’t listen to training calls or attend conference events. Moreover, they do not connect with people. No wonder why they are not getting the results they want.

This business is called network marketing. Most people leave the work part out of it. There is a work involved and that work must be done consistently.

A Dream That Can’t Be Shattered

Dreams are imaginations that you project in your mind. They are desires or fantasies that we usually wish to become a reality. We all have dreams. We have them for ourselves and we have them for our family. Dreams are a part of what makes people get out of bed in the morning. No one can fulfill our dreams for us. It is our duty and responsibility. Sometimes, people say discouraging things to shatter your dreams. Often times, it’s because they have don’t have any themselves. Ambitious people have dreams that can’t be shattered.

Its hard to beat a man who doesn’t give up. His dreams are too important to settle for mediocrity. Focus on where you want to go, then plan accordingly. You have a dream that can’t be shattered. A dream that’s worth the grind. You’ll realize that your dream is not just about you. It’s about the millions of lives that will be changed.

Many people have allowed their dreams to become nightmares. This is due to a lack of action, wrong network and negative mindset. It is also important to understand that a dream without a plan is just a wish. Many people have been wishing for too long. Wishing this would work, wishing things would get better. A dream that can’t be shattered makes things work, makes things better. Many communities are stricken with lack not only because of less resources. They are so due to a lack of dreaming and planning. You have a dream that can’t be shattered.

Don’t Let Quitting Get You Down( what quitting does to the soul)

We’ve all started things and then quit. Some of those things were school, businesses, jobs etc. There were probably hundreds of excuses that we could have given, but the fact of the matter is that we quit. If we’re honest, we will admit that we quit on ourselves. We quit on our goals and our dreams. We all know the ole saying: quitters never win and winners never quit.

Giving up is not a good feeling. We try to justify it, but it does not work. Quitting is hard on the soul because it makes us feel like failures internally. We often try to make up for it by trying something else. As soon as we give up on that, we start searching for something else yet again.

It is said that most businesses have a 90 percentile failure rate. Could it be that  many of the individuals running these enterprises failed by quitting? Short comings are a reality in business and life. I’ve mentioned before that when you start something and then quit, you develop the habitual pattern of starting and quitting. This practice doesn’t serve you nor get you closer to your goal. It actually damages your chances for any kind of success.

Quitting something that you know you should finish, gives you a sense of un-accomplishment. Even if this is the case in your life right now, you can still turn it around. The only thing that matters is your decision and your actions to succeed. Don’t let quitting get you down. Even if you quit on God, God will not quit on you. He is faithful and just to forgive you. So forgive yourself for quitting. Get back up and serve the Lord thy God. Don’t let quitting get you down.
