Why people say NO to your business

image

There are several reasons why people say no when you present your business to them. One reason is they’re just not interested. Another reason is the timing might not be right for them. Yet another reason could be they were in business in the past and got robbed.

A common complaint that entrepreneurs have is “I’m talking to people but I can’t seem to get anyone interested in joining”. The first thing you have to understand that  you can’t get people to do anything. It is also important to understand that people are conditioned to be employees. So because of that, you’ll have to speak to approximately 100 to 200 people to find two to three people who will partner with you. It’s simply a numbers game.

People are also saying  NO to your business because of how you present it. If you present your business as a get  rich quick scheme, folks are going to say no because they think it’s a scam. This happens when you oversell your opportunity. An example of this tactic is “learn how to make 10,000 dollars a week! No work required!” To most conscious people, that’s nonsense. If you present your business as easy, people are going to think it is, and when they find out it’s not, they’re gonna call it a scam.

Don’t focus on the product

People are bombarded with products all day. About four out of ten television commercials are selling you a product of some kind. When you focus on your product, your prospect is going to feel like you’re selling him or her. People don’t like to be sold so they’re going to reject your offer. Your product is not your product, your product is people. You have to build people who move the products.

Talking too much

There is a saying that goes, say less to more people. The reason why is because the more you talk, the more they feel they know everything about your company.  So what are your prospects going to say once they know everything in most cases?NO! When you tell people everything upfront, they bottom line your company even though they really don’t know anything about it. So say less to more people.

Sell the meeting

Instead of selling on how great your product is, sell the meeting. How do you do this?  Simple. Use the sort and point method. All the the top earners use this method. When you approach someone to ask if they’re open to making money, all you’re looking for is a yes or a no that’s it. If they say yes, point them to your upline executive. An example is “I’m in the travel industry and my company is looking for some people. I don’t have all the details but if you’re open to learning more, I’ll give your contact info to mr or Mrs. Executive director xyz who will give you a call to explain the details”.

When you sell the meeting, you’re taking the attention off of you and putting it on the leader of your company. When you talk to people, most of the time they’re judging the opportunity by you. Even though they don’t really know anything about your company. Your prospects need to hear about your business from people who’s had great success from someone else.

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why people say NO to your business. We already know that most people are going to say anyway. That’s okay. No’s are a part of this business. Don’t sell, sort. Don’t persuade, point. When we do enough of this then we’ll start getting some yeses. Hope this helps.

Have a great day,

Calvin Moss

Why People Are So Skeptical About Your Home Business Opportunity

image

Why do you think people are so skeptical about your home business opportunity? It may not be your home business per se, it may the industry in general. Before you got started in your opportunity, you were probably skeptical also. You saw guys standing in front of rolls royces, mansion in the background, wearing thousand dollars suits right? You probably thought these guys were con artists or something. Furthermore, your brother in law got into one of those deals and lost his shirt on it. This is a common story for many people.

It is important to understand that there are good and bad business programs, just like anything else in life. It is your responsibility to get educated and use a little common sense so you will not lose your shirt. People naturally, are very skeptical. That’s just how it is. People think if something is too good to be true, it probably isn’t. Well the truth is, if something sounds to good to be true it probably is, assuming you have the right education. That’s the problem. People don’t have the right education. This is a contributing factor as to why so many people are skeptical about your home business opportunity.

image

When home business entrepreneurs hear such skepticism, it causes even them to doubt whether or not this industry really works. The industry works if you work. You don’t need another business, you need to go to work. You don’t need another marketing platform, you just need to build relationships first and stop bringing up your business unless asked. We throw up on people and haven’t even established rapport. Don’t seek to recruit everyone you contact. It’s okay just to be friends.

image

In conclusion, this is why most people are so skeptical about your home business opportunity. Handle yourself professionally and stop begging, chasing and convincing. It really doesn’t work.

Why People Don’t Want To Be Sold

image

Life is a business of confidence and experiences. Life is also a business of selling. If you think about it, you were involved in selling the majority of your life. If not, you wouldn’t have a job. Neither would you have a spouse or significant other.

People are consumers. In order to consume, someone has to sell you something. Even though we like buying, we don’t want to be sold anything. Sounds weird doesn’t it? I want to talk about why people don’t want to be sold. There are several reasons which I will cover.

Sales people are annoying.

image

The first reason why I feel people don’t like to be sold is sales people are annoying. Although I am a sales rep, I have to agree there is some truth in that statement. We all recieve phone calls from sales people offering the latest and greatest products that money can buy. People don’t want to be called repititiously. I can’t recall the number of times a rep called me trying to sell me something. If you are in sales, do not annoy people by continuing to call them. This is not good practice and does not make you credible in a prospects eyes.

People don’t like to be pressured.

The second reason why people do not want to be sold is pressure. I understand that you have to create a sense of urgency. However, I feel that if you press people into buying, they are going to say no, or they will buy and then ask for a refund later. Pressuring prospects to buy makes them think that what you are offering is not legitimate. Do not pressure people into your products and services. Again, not good practice.

Prospects want to control the buying process.

Prospects want to control the buying process meaning, they want to decide for themselves what they want to buy and how much they are going to spend. This is of course after you presented your offers first. Prospects want to buy at their own will and should. If you notice on Facebook for example, people are spamming their offers. When you spam your offer, you are sending unsolicited information to folks who never requested it. If a prospect buy something, they will do so at their leisure AFTER you provided value on why they should buy.

image

In conclusion, these are some of the reasons why prospects do not want to be sold. People are naturally skeptical anyway. Never beg or convince prospects to buy. If someone wants your products, they will let you know.

Stop Begging Prospects To Look At Your MLM Opportunity

stop begging images

When we first get started in MLM, we want everyone we know to look at our business. We know we have a goldmine because our sponsor said so. So we hunt people down to the point that even our friends don’t want to be bothered anymore. This is because the light bill is due and the gas bill too. We are behind on the mortgage, and bill collectors are calling. Nevertheless, we beg and beg until someone says, “ok! I will look at your stinking business!”.

Where did this begging mentality come from? It came from desperation. MLM is the light at the end of the tunnel. It is a ticket to personal and financial freedom. In network marketing, you can do things that you could never do with a job. Yet, we continue to beg prospects to see our presentation. Network marketing requires you to handle yourself from a position of power. You don’t want everyone in your business. You only want people who are committed to the process of practicing a few disciplines consistently.

Stop begging prospects to look at your business. You have the goose that lays the golden eggs. When you beg potential business partners to look at your business program, you are coming from a needy position. When people sense that, do you know what they say? They say NO!! Instead of you disqualifying them, they disqualify you.

In conclusion, stop begging prospects to look at your MLM opportunity. If you convince them to join you, you will convince them not to quit. Begging makes you look like an amateur salesman, not a professional net worker.

Much Success,

Calvin Moss

How To Build Trust Quickly With Any Prospect

building trust images

One of the greatest abilities to have in business, the ability to build trust quickly with any prospect. People normally do business with people they know and trust. Building trust is difficult because there are a lot of untrustworthy people in business. Trust is hard to gain and easy to lose. People are naturally skeptical to begin with. So let’s learn how to build trust quickly with any prospect.

The first way to build trust quickly with any prospect is to be honest. Prospects need to know what is required of them in order to succeed as distributors. They must be informed that most people they talk and market to, will NOT be interested in their products and services. In addition, your prospects must be comfortable with hearing the word no. Moreover, candidates for your business must clearly understand that there are costs involved as an investment expense for doing business.

A second way on how to build trust quickly with any prospect is to establish a relationship. Network marketing is known as relationship marketing. For this reason, we are taught to build relationships first. Most of us are familiar with the F.O.R.M. formula. F stands for family. O stands for occupation. R stands for recreation. M stands for message. If you built a relationship with a prospect, you can testify that the formula works.

A third way on how to build trust quickly with any prospect is to show them you care. There is an ole’ saying that goes, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. It is not about you, it is about them. If you concern yourself with only making money, you will be on your way out of business. Prospects can spot greed a mile away. If your prospects do not understand something, tell them to take notes and go over what they saw with them. When people spend their hard earned money with you, they want to feel like you care about their personal success. If you do not care, they will find someone who does.

The fourth way on how to build trust quickly with any prospect is through testimonials. Testimonials are statements of edification made about the service of the person being edified. A testimony quickly builds trust for your prospect because there is a positive record of proof regarding your service to others.

In concluding, these are four ways to quickly build trust with any prospect. It’s important that you keep your word. If you tell a prospect that you’re going to help them when they get started, make sure you do so. If a prospect mistrust you, they will automatically mistrust the industry.
